Last day of quarantine

Hi Blog...

Sorry for abandoning you for the past few weeks... I have been really busy and we got quarantine due to h1n1...

Edel got very high fever Sat, 1st Aug, her temp is as high as 39.9 and it really worried us, Hubby sent her to Emergency ward at QEH at 3.30 am, Dr prescribed paracetamol and antibiotik and let her go around 6.30am... Her fever did not go down, she did not developed any flu-like symptoms but coughing constantly and vomiting... everything she took she'd vommit and she was really weak, on Mon, 3rd Aug, Hubby brought her for H1N1 screening, at first Dr is reluctant as she did not show any flu-like symptoms only high fever, but Hubby insisted. Her fever only broke on the 5th Aug, and she is getting her appetite back, and she is about to attend school on Friday the 7th when suddenly we GOT the news at 2pm on thursday 6th that she is POSITIVE H1N1, that really freaked me out.... I was in the middle of a meeting in Le Meridien, I stood up and told the Pengerusi Majlis that I have to excuse myself from the meeting as my daughter was found to be H1N1 positive... What a shocker!!! and I learnt from my friend that the meeting was postponed as soon as I walked out...

We immediately send Edel to Klinik Kesihatan Luyang and was taken by ambulance to Hospital Likas, I thought she would not be admitted as her condition has improved but I was wrong she was immediately taken to Melor Ward to be isolated in H1N1 Isolation Ward. There were about 8 people inside, also found to be positive and 3 of them with high complication, 1 just came out from ICU... scarry, but, when the specialist came the evening of 7th, she said that Edel can be discharge and self-quarantine at home as her condition is well, all she need to do is to finish up the tamiflu medicaiton and stay home for 10 days to curb the spreading of the Germs and generally she is in good health... I was relief to hear this...

And when Crystal develop the same symptoms, we did the same as Edel's thanks to Hubby who is very persistent and She is not admitted at the hospital but given tamiflu and today is her last dosage of tamiflu and she is doing just as fine as Edel...

Amazingly, Jade has not develop any of the symptoms, Dr said she is immune to H1N1 so, praise the LORD... we survive this plague without any complications at all!!!!

hi, it has been a while...

I was so busy with life, 2 weeks of library science course and altho' it has been over a week ago, I am still struggling to do the BTOR (back to office report)... so many writing up to do!

Last weekend, my whole family went back to my mom's hometown in Kiulu to visit our dearly beloved Tinah (Grandma) she is now getting much older and not that 'fit' anymore due to old ripen golden age. But, she is still very jovial... no sign of 'nyanyuk' still can recognize and talk properly... My twins suddenly decided to call her Nenek Granny I told them she is their Great Grandma, which is Grandma's mother. They are a bit confused at first. Edel said she is mom's nenek. So, they eventually called her Nenek Granny... ;)

Pics was taken during our outing. We took the time to take my kids to the Jambatan Gantung near my Grandma's house... and later that evening, we went back to my mom's place to help with "Mongutus Totok" hehe sound funny eh! and I have never done it for ages I think my waist have parted with my body... teruk kan!

Away from Home!!!!

I have been away for 8 days now...

First to Penang, I have to attend a Conference in Batu Feringghi, Penang and it was quite marvellous as I got to listen to a number of papers presented by famous speaker from around the world.  On the first day, it was indeed a packed day with a corporate dinner after the 1st day session.  It was quite love I must say, the dinner was done at the Garden infront of Batu Feringghi Beach with a Warung Style where they set up about 7 stalls of local food like Penang Char Kway teow, Penang Laksa, Pasembor, Satay, Hokkien Mee, ABC stall, Roti Jala and yummy Otak-Otak... it was nice and quite an eye opening for me!

On the 2nd day, it was a full packed conference talking about going green and digital... hmm bored separuh mati!!

We boarded the public transport to KL from Sungai Nibong, wah, what a pleasant experience, for the first time I crossed the sea from the mainland to Georgetown... the longest bridge bah... so syok and what a sight!!!

Hehe and i was mistakenly by 3 people who thought I am a Filipino...

Now, am in PJ for the next 8 days catching up on Trainings, meetings and etc...

Edel cried a lot and even wore my baju to sleep but the twins syok pula.... hmm :)

Uncertain...

hmmm uncertained about the upcoming official trip to KL next 3 weeks...

I will have to spent 1 week in our office HQ to catch-up on trainings and also arrghhh the most dreaded performance appraisal (my first face to face) and after that a 2 days library conference in Penang and then continue with a week stint back at the HQ... this time catching up on IT... hmmm

These reminds me of how I spent my days in Kuching last year when Edel on tow!

With Edel, busily "lending a helping hand"....

How I wished that I can bring all babies around wherever I might be!!! ;)

back to work...

I'll be posting some pics later about our Kaamatan weekend..

At last, we have managed to sneaked out from Kepayan all the way to Keningau, we spent 2 days and 1 nite camping out at my sis-in law's lawn in Keningau. It was the first camping trip I've had after 15years... and the first for Edel, Jade & Crystal.

They were so excited with it... but, during the nite, they all complaining about not bringing a thick mattress... and yabba dabba more grouses than ever...

But, luckily they slept thru the nite in the camp as my nephew would not even enter his tent... his parents was really frustrated as they actually when to source for the tent in Keningau and have to spent about rm77 just for a simple unbranded tent...

On the other note, I attended my first cousin wedding at Putera Hall in Bukit Padang, it was such a lovely ocassion and I can forsee their happiness... I also managed to see my dearest cousin Winnie who I have not seen for years!!!

Edel's First Fall out Tooth!

Yupe, my daughter Edel has her first tooth pulled out... I am excited with the changes, she is growing.... fast!!!

Last nite, she came to me and said "Mom, I'm worried, I brushed my teeth twice a day but something wrong with my teeth, it suddenly loose!!"

hehe, that is her exact word...

She insisted to call her aunt "Mommie Enon" to get her reassurance...

She passed the phone back to me smiling saying that Mommie Enon said you have to buy me Ice-Cream!!! hehe

today...

My laptop acting up... The technical person said there is a bad sector on the HDD and need to be replaced.. So, I have to do my files back-up or else lost everything that I have stored here... priceless info

It has been two weeks since I go on my diet regime... I think I can see the result around my abdomen, altho' the bulk is still there but I am sure I have shrink to about an inch and a half... maybe it would be more visible in 4 weeks time....

I just got the news that I will be having a Librarian Conference in Penang on the 15 & 16 June 2009.  So, I have to make my bookings soon...

I have to make arrangement for my children to stay at my mom's for about a week or so (12 days) oh no ! I will missed them terribly....

life development...

I have been following a strict diet for the past 7 days... self imposed dieting regime which exclude the comsumption of rice...

Morning breakfast was taken at 7am, which I have been preparing for my family of 5 for the past years.. mainly noodles or toast or cereals...

A must calcium drinks for the whole family Melko (Milk Chocolate drink) and at least a cup of noodles or cereals have to be consumated by the whole family...

I also packed lunch for the 3 munchies...

I think I've lose some weight and notice that my pants is not that tight anymore... so, I am determined to lose more kilos...

If you have known me, I have been keeping/storing a humongous amount of fat around the belly, buttock and thigh... with the height of only 158cm, I looked so dwarft with my obese weight of 3 figures...

So, ENOUGH with living in GLUTON it is time to shed the GLUTON OFF THE RACK....

I am determined to do that now at 35.... at least I am back at my 28th years old body (still heavy on the scales but acceptable)....

I will try to post some pics or visit my FB....

today...

Well, at last, with my mighty hand I managed to re-arrange our Knowledge Centre... with the new space now, I can think of purchasing a round table for the convenience of users... and I am also thinking to place a huge cardboard for people to sign-in whenever the enter the Library like a visitor book... hehe can be incorporated as my KPIs hehehe

On the other note, my dad is in town attending a 5 days seminar on agriculture, I am very supportive of him attending such a course after retiring from teaching for the last 30 years...  Put his Green Fingers into working wonders... He loves to grow plants... and I must have inherited it from him, I too have a passion of growing plants... haha

I am busy doing the final draft of the recent study I undertook... with the help of my attentive boss, I am now penning the bits and pieces of details that I need to strengthen the docs...  Hopefully I can submit by monday *Fingers crossed!!!

Oh ya, abt yesterday incident, Edel have small accident in the car, she pricked her eyes (the pupil to be exact) with her hair pin.  She was trying to adjust her hair pin when suddenly the car jerked and she accidently prick her eyes... We are so scared that we drove directly to the QEH emergency ward...  Luckily after investigation the Dr said that the prick is only a scracth on the layer of the pupil and is not deep to cause any harm... Thank GOD!!!  Jade is having bad flu infection but I hope with the medication she will recover fast...

I am still sticking to my own diet regime.. hopefully I shed some weight off especially on the tummy area... GO Me GO Myself!!!!

our 7th Anniversary...

1) 1st May
our 7th Wedding Anniversary... wow, how time flies... together with our courtship years... we have walked side by side for almost 17 years.... I've known my Nong for 17 years ... what can i say? I am grateful that God has given him to walk with me in this life... with our three precious daughters Edel, Jade & Crystal... Can't live without them...

What we did during our anniversary :
1) Fixed our new book shelving
2) Re-arrange our Family picture
3) Re-arrange the whole living room!!!!

2) Sabbath
Me and my girls attended Sabbath... The sabbath school lesson is "Passing the Test" and the memory verse hit me hard "Reject the wrong, and, Choose the RIGHT!" Isaiah 7:15...
Daniel and his friends choose the right food and they are blessed... So, I am going to do the same for myself and also the whole of the family...

3) Sunday
After doing chores around the house, my girls and me did some gardening, I managed to transfer 6 aloe vera into their own pots....
